San Jose, CA and Johannesburg, South Africa, May 4, 2015 – Cibecs Inc announced today that Cibecs Endpoint Backup, Recovery and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) software will be included for download on WD’s My Cloud Business Series network attached storage (NAS) devices.

After extensive evaluation and testing, WD® chose Cibecs due to its high performance, extensive functionally and ease of use. Cibecs provides businesses with industry-leading, scalable and secure endpoint data backup, data recovery and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).

Cibecs DLP includes control over encryption on endpoint devices as well as on the My Cloud Business Series NAS. The Cibecs solution further provides military grade remote wipe, instantaneous revoke of lost endpoint data, and data theft prevention.

“We are excited to expand our business and technical relationship with WD around their highly successful My Cloud offerings,” said Cibecs Chief Technical Officer, Neal Dewing. “With the addition of the Cibecs application the My Cloud Business Series allows prosumers and small businesses to centralize and protect their workplace data while providing secure access to critical data and document version retrieval from any location.”

Also included in the offering is Cibecs’ Corporate Governance Compliance reporting, which provides near real-time data protection ratings and automated reports that allow SMBs to easily document and report on their data protection status to management and auditors.

According to Sven Rathjen, VP and GM for Networked Content Solutions of WD, “With the My Cloud Business Series NAS and Cibecs, changes to business data on PC and Mac computers are now automatically captured, compressed, encrypted and centralized on one or more, easy to manage, WD NAS devices. This centralized business data can be securely accessed from any location or device within our customer’s organization.”

The My Cloud Business Series DL2100 and DL4100 NAS devices are powered by the latest Intel Atom dual core processor, with RAM upgradeable to 6 GB, and data storage capacity up to 24 TB, meaning small businesses have the performance and scalability to meet their data storage and data protection needs.

WD’s My Cloud Business Series products are immediately available through selected WD channel partners, retailers, e-tailers, distributors, authorized resellers and at the wdstore.com.
